Kunwal Ahmad
Administrative Director
Kunwal Ahmad is the Administrative Director of Syed Pillar, supporting the administrative set up and maintenance of the organization to help keep things moving. She became involved with the nonprofit quite easily – she found an interest in the mission and asked how she could help.
“All of us have benefitted in some way or another from the charitable acts of others. It can be something as simple as encouraging words from family or friends.”
As a member of our board, she notes that her inspiration came from her own experiences to learn new skills and develop herself. Creating environments to nurture children ignited her passion for the cause, as well as removing barriers for children so they can have the best school experience possible.
Outside of the nonprofit, Kunwal currently works in research administration, a career that helps her within the organization. She enjoys finding process-driven solutions to challenging problems and is an integral member in ensuring the board stays focused and organized. She loves to read as well, usually juggling between two books at a time. As she continues on her life journey, she finds she loves to stay active and spend time with people who don’t take themselves too seriously.
Kunwal’s top tip for someone who is interesting in supporting the cause?
“Whether it’s a one time commitment or something longer, there are many ways to help. Have an open mind, let us know you’re interested in helping, and we’ll line it up with an existing need.”
